Opened in October 2017, Wood Fire Smoke Wilmslow is where it all started — our very first restaurant, and the place we first brought authentic, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza to Cheshire. Sitting on Water Lane in the heart of town, we’ve been feeding Wilmslow for nearly a decade.
We make our dough fresh every day using a slow, 72-hour prove, then cook each pizza in a wood-fired oven at over 400°C — light, airy, properly charred at the crust. San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte mozzarella, and ingredients we’re genuinely proud of, from the classic Margherita to seasonal specials.
We’re open every day from noon. Whether you’re after a quick weekday lunch, a relaxed evening dinner with friends, a date night, a family meal or a proper celebration, you’ll find a relaxed, lively and welcoming atmosphere — the kind that makes you want to stay for another drink. And yes, we’re BYOB too. There’s always a table for you. Walk-ins are welcome, we take bookings online for groups and occasions, and click & collect is available too.
Wilmslow has been home to Wood Fire Smoke since 2017, and it’s home for us too. Sam grew up here, so it felt right to open our first restaurant here. Being part of the local community has always been a big part of who we are. One of our favourite local collaborations is the weekly Pizza Club with The Rex Cinema — fresh, restaurant-quality pizza alongside the latest films at one of Cheshire’s finest independents. It’s become a proper Wilmslow institution.
We love seeing families, couples on date nights, birthday groups, friends catching up and the regulars who’ve been coming in since 2017. Whoever you are, whenever you visit — our team will look after you.
